Welcome to the launch of the Festival of a Thousand Stories website. Over the coming months leading up to the festival we will be updating this site with new events and information that will keep you up to date with everything related to the festival.
The festival will run over a period of 7 days starting September 2 and will include a variety of events associated with the storytelling theme. You will be able to see a schedule of events listed on the Events page which will include information on venues, locations, times and costs.
There are many events that can be enjoyed free of charge but some events such as the Poets Trek will have costs associated with them due to the provision of food and travel.
We plan to provide updates to this site during the festival which will include images, video and audio of the event collected over the festival week. There will also be a facility included which will allow public contributions and community involvement.
If you are interested in being involved with the Festival as an artist, musician, historian or performer, or have a specific enquiry regarding the Festival you can contact us via the Contact Us page.
For more information about the festival and it’s history you can read more on the About page of this site
